How much does it cost to use an insurance agent in Miami?
Nothing. Our consultations, quotes, subsidy calculations and annual policy reviews are 100% free, and there is no obligation to buy. Insurance carriers pay our commission directly — the exact same plan costs the same with or without an agent. You simply get expert help at no additional cost.
How quickly can I get health insurance coverage in Miami?
During ACA Open Enrollment (November 1 – January 15) we can usually submit a Marketplace application the same day, and coverage typically starts the first of the following month. Medicare Advantage and Part D enrollments during Annual Enrollment (October 15 – December 7) take about 30 minutes. If you have a qualifying life event, we can enroll you year-round.
Do you only sell health insurance, or also life insurance?
Both, plus much more. We write term life, whole life, indexed universal life, final expense and guaranteed issue policies, Medicare Advantage and Medigap, Part D drug plans, ACA Marketplace plans, Florida KidCare, small group employee benefits, disability income insurance and fixed indexed annuities. One agency, one relationship, every stage of life.
Can you help me qualify for ACA subsidies in Miami-Dade?
Yes — and most of our Miami-Dade clients do qualify. We calculate your premium tax credit using household size and estimated 2026 income, then compare on-exchange Bronze, Silver and Gold plans side by side. Many households end up paying under $50 per month after subsidies, and some Silver plans include cost-sharing reductions that lower deductibles too.
What if I have a pre-existing condition or take medications?
ACA Marketplace plans are guaranteed-issue, so pre-existing conditions cannot be denied or surcharged. For life insurance, we run an informal inquiry first to see which carrier will treat your health history most favorably, and we offer Guaranteed Issue life policies for ages 50–85 with no health questions at all. For Medicare, we check every prescription against each plan’s formulary before recommending.
Do you offer bilingual service in Miami?
Sí — and Kreyòl tou. Our eight licensed agents and three support staff provide full service in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Documents, enrollment appointments and claims calls can all be handled in the language you are most comfortable with. We also host a free bilingual Medicare workshop at our Little Havana office on the first Wednesday of every month.
How do you get paid if your services are free to me?
Insurance carriers pay us a commission when a policy is issued, and that commission is already built into the plan’s published rate. It does not increase your premium by a single dollar. Because we are independent and appointed with more than 18 carriers, we have no financial incentive to steer you toward one specific company.
What is your response time guarantee?
Every quote request and client question receives a response within 24 hours — our actual average is under 2 business hours. During Medicare Annual Enrollment and ACA Open Enrollment we extend video appointments Monday through Thursday until 8:00 PM. Urgent claims questions are prioritized the same day they come in, and our phone line supports 24/7 messaging.
Will you help me if my insurance claim is denied?
Absolutely. Claims advocacy is included with every policy we write. Our team calls the carrier, gathers medical records and paperwork, files the appeal, and follows up until it is resolved — for you and, on life policies, for your beneficiaries. Most online-only agencies disappear after the sale; we do not.
What areas of South Florida do you serve?
Our primary service area is Miami-Dade County, including Little Havana, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Kendall, Doral, Brickell, Miami Beach, Aventura, Homestead, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, Sweetwater and Westchester. We also serve Broward (Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Fort Lauderdale) and Monroe County for health and Medicare. Life insurance is licensed statewide across Florida.
How do I know if my doctor is in the plan’s network?
We check your physicians and hospitals against each carrier’s provider directory before you enroll — including whether your preferred Miami hospital falls inside an HMO service area. HMO plans generally require in-network care within Miami-Dade, while PPO plans offer more flexibility when you travel. We always verify network status in writing at enrollment.
Is it worth having my existing policy reviewed?
Yes, and the review is free even if you bought the policy elsewhere. We look at rate class, beneficiary designations, riders, term expiry dates and whether a newer carrier or plan year offers better value. It is common for us to find outdated beneficiary forms, lapsing term policies or Medigap rates that have increased by $40 or more per month. Request your free policy review here.
